Where do we play?
The T-Ball through Minors divisions play at Fairhaven Park, located at 600 Obrecht Road. Majors through Seniors play at Freedom Park, located at 100 Raincliffe Road.
When are practices/games?
Practice days/times are not determined until the teams are formed in March. The teams will practice one evening during the week and on Saturday prior to the start of the season. Once the season starts, teams will have a game one evening during the week and another game on Saturday (with the exception of T-Ball, which will continue practicing once a week and have a game on Saturday).
Player Evaluations
The Minors, Majors, and Preps divisions will have Player Evaluations on Saturday, February 15th and Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, at Top Gun Baseball in Sykesville. The evaluations will help our player agents create an even playing field for all teams. More information will come at a later date, but please plan on attending at least one day of evaluations if your child is in one of these age groups.
How can I get more involved?
We are always looking for dedicated head coaches and assistant coaches. Please complete the Spring 2025 Coaches Registration if you are interested in coaching for the upcoming season.
The Sykesville Baseball Board of Directors is looking for energetic, committed, and spirited individuals to join the Board. If you've been considering getting more involved, this is the perfect opportunity for you! You don't need extensive experience in playing or coaching baseball—just a positive attitude and a desire to help kids find their passion for baseball in a fun and secure setting.
Serving on the board involves attending monthly meetings and participating in Board Duty at one of our parks during the active seasons. Typically, the time commitment is less than six hours a month, even during the busy fall and spring seasons. Board appointments last for one year, with elections taking place every May.
Current open positions include:
- Trophies/Pictures Director
- Player Agents
- Rec Select Coordinator
Please reach out to businessops@sykesvillebaseball.com if you are interested in joining our team!
